CEO Peled was invited to the Fortune Most Powerful Women Summit 2013, and was an active participant in the Finance and Economy Panel, dedicated to Emerging Markets. Peled asserted that there is growing openness to foreign investments in emerging markets. In countries such as Philippines, Uganda, and Brazil, Arison Investments demonstrates that creating mutually beneficial long-term business partnerships is key to successful business endeavors in emerging markets.
"Emerging market middle-class is growing at an expedited rate, and consumption in these countries will reach $30 trillion by 2025. 65% of the population in emerging economies is under 35, and 70% of the businesses are small to middle scale businesses," Peled said, and added "If you're playing in emerging markets, you need to be a medium- to long-term player. The indicators are slowing down, but it's all relative to what's happening in the rest of the world."
