Salt of the Earth was a private subsidiary of Arison Investments until it was sold to Fortissimo Capital in January 2019.
Salt of the Earth has been operating as Israel's main producer of salt since 1922, serving the retail, industrial and agricultural markets. With the value of Vitality guiding its activities in Israel and its export markets, Salt of the Earth produces salt in a natural and clean process of solar vaporization of onshore sea-water pools.
Salt of the Earth engages in sustainable activities intended to preserve a balance between the industry and the environment. Centering in two manufacturing localities, one on the shores of the Red Sea in Eilat, and the other on the beaches of the Mediterranean in Atlit, it has become an integral part of the fabric of life in these two towns, providing employment and contributing to the communities.
With a strong awareness to reciprocity with the natural environment, Salt of the Earth created its sustainable vaporization pools to serve as home to a large host of aquatic birds that migrate there annually in their thousands, nesting and prospering.
On Salt of the Earth's senior management, is CEO Dovik Tal.
