For 22 years, it owned Shikun & Binui, Israel’s leading infrastructure and real estate group (market cap of $915 million, as of 8/2014), sold to the Saidoff Group on August 6, 2018. For 21 years, Arison Investments was the controlling shareholder of Bank Hapoalim, Israel’s leading bank (market cap of $7.3 billion, as of 8/2014), and in November 2018 it sold some of its shares and ceased to be the bank's controlling shareholder. Salt of the Earth, Israel’s leading salt producer since 1920, was a private subsidiary of Arison Investments until it was sold to Fortissimo Capital in January 2019. Until 2019, Arison Investments had also privately owned Miya, founded by Shari Arison in 2008 to maximize the efficiency of urban water systems worldwide.
