Business Portfolio

Business Portfolio

Arison Investments manages a diversified portfolio estimated at over US$2.5 billion in finance, salt, industry, and water, on five continents across dozens of countries, with thousands of employees.

Operating worldwide, Arison Investments is headquartered in Tel Aviv. For 22 years, it owned Shikun & Binui, Israel’s leading infrastructure and real estate group (market cap of $915 million, as of 8/2014), sold to the Saidoff Group on August 6, 2018. For 21 years, Arison Investments was the controlling shareholder of Bank Hapoalim, Israel’s leading bank (market cap of $7.3 billion, as of 8/2014), and in November 2018 it sold some of its shares and ceased to be the bank's controlling shareholder. Salt of the Earth, Israel’s leading salt producer since 1920,  was a private subsidiary of Arison Investments until it was sold to Fortissimo Capital in January  2019. Until 2019, Arison Investments had also privately owned Miya, founded by Shari Arison in 2008 to maximize the efficiency of urban water systems worldwide.

Arison Investments sets a benchmark in its socially and environmentally responsible endeavors in finances, infrastructure, real estate, renewable energy, and water.

Viewing the impact of any investment as paramount, it maintains a human and environmentally-oriented perspective in all its dealings. Bank Hapoalim helps society by instilling tools that promote financial freedom for all its clients. Keeping that same human element in mind, Miya is involved in international mega-projects that increase water efficiency and abundantly brings water to millions of people, while Salt of the Earth produces its commodities while maintaining a balance between industry and the natural environment.

Arison Investments applies a clear strategy of moral responsibility in building long-term business partnerships that positively impact both people and planet, demonstrating how Doing Good is Good Business.
